Here is the scoop: my daughter has diverticular disease, which is essentially outwardly bulging pockets all over her colon walls. Things like seeds and nuts (and popcorn kernels) can get caught in these pockets and cause inflammation, infection, and bleeding. Normally this happens in people over 40. She's 24!!! She also had a polyp removed, which will be biopsied. We will have those results hopefully next week.
She may be coming home today, and then we have to go deal with her goods at the old apartment. And we will probably have 1 more cat for a short period of time. He can't stay where he is, and we have to make arrangements to take him to a new home (which we haven't found yet). Stress level: 9.
