News and New Design

First the news -

I am going to be just fine. I say that cautiously, just because I'm not going to be lackadaisical
about any of this. The mammo and ultrasound showed that the "lump" is a bunch of dense, fibrous tissue. Not a cyst. Not a tumor. But you know? I learned a lot from this experience, so I'm not going to be caught lying down on the job anymore. I'll be doing my BSEs every month from now on, and no lateness on the doctor visits. And if I start to feel any changes? You can bet I'll be on the phone again. Thank God that this was "nothing," though it certainly didn't feel like nothing to me. I'm still trying to recover from the stress it caused and the headache that resulted.

Second - how do you like the snappy new design? I'm pretty darned impressed, myself. It wasn't me, though. NW Designs did this one for me (and you can find their link further down the page on the right. I think it suits me, don't you?

Thanks for the good vibes, well wishes, prayers and love. You don't know how much it means to me. If you ever need the same, you can bet I'll be first in line.

Peace - D

I've been away from my beloved blog friends the past few days but had to run right over and check on you today.
I am so, so, so, so glad you got good news. And it's a much needed reminder for the rest of us to check "the girls" every month. Hugs and kisses and congrats.

Your new blog design is fantastic!
Love it, love it, love it!

And....breathe. This is good news.
What a relief for you! Time for some restorative tea, and a nice long bath.

Hey, I love your new site—especially the masthead. Kudos to your designer.

Who is the redhead with the Betty Davis eyes?

Phew!!!! Still mopping my brow! SOOOO relieved for you! Very good news indeed.
The new you! Wow your blog looks real good!
I've just had a mammagram which was fine. I am at the exact age now that my Mum developed breast cancer & I had a bad feeling before my recent test. Just proves you can be wrong!
I think it is very sensible to give out advice to all women to self examine. Good for you!

Lori - Thanks! And yes, do please check the "girls." The life you save may be your own.

B von B - Yes, it took me awhile to breathe yesterday. I had SUCH a headache after all of it. (And I'm glad you like the design!)

DMD - thanks so much!

NATUI - The purple is good for me. It has a good vibe. And yes, I'm going to be just fine! :-)

Peace - D

Childlife - Thanks so much. Yes, today looks a lot brighter, even in my blog :-)

Dave - I'm glad you like the design. And that redhead is me - a lot smaller than when you last saw me!

Maggie - I'll bet you're scared because of that family history. You should be extra vigilant. You know, just because there is a family history doesn't mean it will happen to us, but it certainly stacks the odds against us. I hope you remain well!

Peace - D

I've been hiding out in my studio and so I'd missed your scare with the lump. But it's "nothing." That's the kind of nothing to WOO HOO about! So here I go:

WOOOOOOO-HOOOOO!

Yes, your new design is stunning, as is that picture of you in red. That's your color, babe.

Thank you Almighty God. Thank you. I have learned a lot from this too.

What a relief. I am thrilled to hear your good news! You should do something really pampering for yourself now, to ease the stress you've just been through.

I love the new look! Cynthia did my blog design, also, as you may now, and she was so great to work with. Love it, love it.
